Barrie Blogs: My Five Desert Island Must HavesLeave a Comment
I was recently chatting with friends and the subject of desert island must haves came up. I thought I’d share my answers with you all as you may be surprised by some!
Put simply, Poppy is my baby! When I’m on holiday, by the end of the week I miss her so much that I start to want to go home, so the longest I will travel for is 7 days, that’s long enough without my girl. Anyone with a dog will understand what I’m talking about, you lie by the pool with a cocktail in hand and to everyone else it’s bliss, but you can’t help thinking, this would be even better if my dog was by my side! So if I was stranded on a desert island, Poppy MUST be with me.
Okay, my phone gets me into trouble with my friends as I never put it down; I can be sending an email at 11pm or 6am, I really never stop! You’ll rarely see me without it as there is always someone I need to communicate with in some way, and obviously now we have smart phones (I’m an Apple boy all the way!) it’s even easier to fire off that email you forgot to do in the office. I know I could do with spending a little less time on the phone, but hey when you’re a busy business man it’s quite difficult, even if I was on a desert island I’d still be checking in with the salons!
Rob my Personal Trainer
I will not use the gym unless I’m with Rob. He keeps me focused and I really feel that the gym helps me to de-stress, I actually love working out…some people don’t believe me but it’s true. Exercise is a healthy way to shake off the stresses of the day and having Rob to tell me how to get the best results is a fantastic motivator.
If I’m stranded on a desert island I’m going to need a little more than coconut milk to get me through! A glass of red would be firmly on the cards, to calm my nerves!
Chelsea, Jonathan and Joachim
Now I know that’s technically 3 people, but I come as a package and I won’t go anywhere without my entourage (just call me Madonna!) to have fun with and share my red wine with! Friends will help me to see the funny side of any situation and keep me sane, even if that situation is being stranded on a desert island!
