New-look Anstey Salon

Transformed from an old butcher’s shop, Barrie Stephen Hair launched in Anstey 17 years ago, and it€™s never looked back. Now a multi award-winning salon, it€™s just undergone a major refit to unveil a stunning new-look interior created by prestigious salon designer Charlie Hearn.

Celebrating the salon that started the whole Barrie Stephen story, Barrie was joined by clients, his team and key people who have contributed to the life of the salon, making it a great place to be and who have made the business what it is today. He said:

It’s not the first time we’ve had a make-over at Anstey. It€™s seen various changes: dashes of colour on the walls, new retail displays, the front repainted and updated, but this time it’€™s something else.

I really feel that we’€™re investing in the future of our brand and this major refurbishment follows in the footsteps of our salon in Leicester which was transformed earlier this year, I think this marks a very exciting time for the salon group.

€œNovember 1996 when Anstey opened still represents one of the proudest moments in my professional career and I think it always will be because it’€™s a reminder of where it all began for the Barrie Stephen brand.

With a new colour lounge to relax while your dye develops, different textures and tones to take you from boutique, to spa to sophisticated salon “ we definitely add something special to this wonderful village.

€œI always say it but I’€™m so proud of this I’€™m Leicester born and bred. Leicestershire is my home and I’€™m dedicated to bringing big-city quality, expertise and style to this area. Just last week I stood on stage at the national Most Wanted awards and lifted up a trophy for being the Best Local Salon in the whole of the UK. In this new Anstey salon, I can honestly say I think the judges got it right€“ and I hope that we always live up to being the very best of local salons.€
